ST. PAUL, Minn. -- Scoring four of the final five goals of the game, the Augsburg University women's hockey team rallied twice from deficits to defending NCAA Division III national runner-up Hamline University for a 4-3 victory on Saturday afternoon, gaining a split in the teams' Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference-opening series.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Augsburg first rallied from a 2-0, second-period deficit, tying the game on an unassisted goal by
Jenna Gerold (FY, Farmington, Minn./Farmington HS), at the 9:10 mark of the second period, and on a power-play marker frmo
Bridget Wagner (SR, Niles, Ill./Maine South HS) at the 9:43 mark of the third period, assisted by
Hollywood Hermanson (SR, Dover, Minn./Dover-Eyota HS).
• Hamline took the lead back with a goal at the 12:02 mark, but Augsburg gained the win with a pair of goals in the final 3:09 of play.
Katie Flynn (FY, Woodbury, Minn./East Ridge HS) tied the game with her first collegiate goal, assisted by Wagner, and
Hannah Gold (SO, Mequon, Wis./University School of Milwaukee) scored the game-winner with 1:16 left to play, assisted by Hermanson.
• Augsburg outshot Hamline by a 12-5 margin in the third period, as both teams had 22 shots on-goal in the game. Wagner had eight shots, including four in the third period, to lead the Auggies.
• Making her third collegiate start and second of the season, Augsburg goalie
Abby Bollig (SO, Farmington, Minn./Farmington HS) had 19 saves to score the win, improving to 2-0-0 on the year.

• Bre Simon scored two goals for Hamline, with Sophie Rausch also scoring a goal.
