MINNEAPOLIS -- The Augsburg University women's basketball team reached the 20-win milestone, topping Macalester College 75-62 in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action on Wednesday night at Si Melby Hall.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Augsburg jumped out to a quick 14-6 lead, but the Scots battled back and went basket-for-basket with the Auggies for the remainder of the half. In the third quarter, Augsburg closed the frame with a 10-1 run, swinging the momentum toward the Auggies. Augsburg was able to stretch its lead to as many as 16 in the fourth quarter before clinching another important MIAC win.
• Augsburg finished with four players in double figures, led by a career-high 20 points from
Arianna Jones (JR, Brooklyn Park, Minn./Osseo HS). Jones was 7-of-13 from the field and 6-of-10 from three-point range, while adding six rebounds and three assists.

Tamira McLemore (JR, Eagan, Minn./Eagan HS) finished with 17 points and seven rebounds for the Auggies, which included a 4-of-7 effort from beyond the arc.
• Scoring in double figures for her fifth straight game,
Kaezha Wubben (JR, Minneapolis, Minn./Hopkins HS) added 14 points, two assists, a block and a steal.
• Tying for the team lead in rebounding,
Camryn Speese (JR, Bloomington, Minn./DeLaSalle HS) pulled down seven boards, while adding 13 points and a game-high four steals.
• For the game, Augsburg shot 41.7 percent (25-of-60) from the field, while the Scots connected on 36.8 percent (21-of-57) of their shot attempts. The Scots posted a big 45-29 advantage on the boards, but Augsburg was able to win the turnover battle forcing 20, while only committing 10 and recording a 27-12 advantage in point off turnovers.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE
• With her one 3-pointer,
Aiza Wilson (JR, Minneapolis, Minn./DeLaSalle HS) broke the program's career made three-pointer record (150). She has hit at least one 3-pointer in 26 straight games, dating to last season. She stands fourth in the MIAC with 57 three-pointers.
• As a team, Augsburg connected on 14 three-pointers, which is the second-highest single-game total in program history, just behind the 15 made three-pointers in a game against Northwestern St. Paul on Nov. 26, 2016.
FOR THE FOES
• Macalester was led by a 27-point, six rebound effort from Justine Barraza.
• Tyana Loiselle added 11 points and Kayla Togneri added a game-high 10 rebounds for the Scots.
