ST. PETER, Minn. --
Camryn Speese (JR, Bloomington, Minn./DeLaSalle HS) scored a season-high 19 points to lead the Augsburg University women's basketball team past Gustavus Adolphus College 77-68 in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action on Wednesday night at Gus Young Court. With the win, Augsburg locks up at least the No. 2 seed for the MIAC postseason playoffs, and sets up a key battle at league-leading St. Thomas for Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• After being tied 17-17 at the end of the first quarter and 29-29 at halftime, Augsburg used a big 26-point third quarter to give the Auggies a seven-point advantage at the end of the third. Augsburg was able to extend its lead to as many as 14 points in the fourth quarter before claiming the important MIAC win.
• The Auggies utilized a balanced offense with five players scoring in double figures.
Camryn Speese (JR, Bloomington, Minn./DeLaSalle HS) led the way with a season-high 19 points. She was 7-of-12 from the field, while adding five rebounds.
• After scoring her 1,000th career point in her previous game,
Tamira McLemore (JR, Eagan, Minn./Eagan HS) added 18 points, a team-high six rebounds and four steals.

Aiza Wilson (JR, Minneapolis, Minn./DeLaSalle HS) continues to move closer to the Augsburg career three-point record and is now just one shy after a 4-of-7 effort from beyond the arc against the Gusties. She has 148 in her career, with the school record 149, set by Katie LaGrave (2004-08). Wilson finished with 14 points and two rebounds.

Kaezha Wubben (JR, Minneapolis, Minn./Hopkins HS) and
Jazmyn Solseth (SO, Inver Grove Heights, Minn./St. Croix Lutheran) added 12 and 11 points respectively.
• For the game, Augsburg shot 44.6 percent (25-of-56) from the field, while the Gusties connected on 50.0 percent (26-of-52) of their shot attempts.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE
• It is the third time this season (and second game in a row) that Augsburg has had five players score in double figures; Augsburg has also had four players score in double figures in five games this season.
• McLemore's 18-point effort marked her 17th game scoring in double figures this season and 55th in her 71-game college career. She has also hit at least one 3-pointer in all but two of her 22 games this season.
• With her four 3-pointers, Wilson extended her streak of hitting at least one 3-pointer to 24 straight games, dating to last season. She stands third in the MIAC with 55 three-pointers.

• Gustavus was led by a 27-point, 5-rebound effort from Kendall Thompson.
