MINNEAPOLIS -- With 10 different players scoring goals, Augsburg University opened Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference play with one of its highest-scoring performances in school history, a 20-2 victory over Marian University on Monday afternoon at Edor Nelson Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Augsburg scored the first seven goals of the game and outscored Marian, a first-year program playing just its second varsity game, 10-1 in each half. The Auggies outshot the Sabres by a 37-18 margin in the contest.

Allie Tuccitto (SO, Rosemount, Minn./Eastview HS) tied a career-high with a four-goal performance to lead the Auggies, adding an assist for a five-point afternoon. She also recorded two ground balls and two caused turnovers.

Megan Furlong (SO, Forest Lake, Minn./Forest Lake HS) scored a career-high three goals for the second game in a row, as did Teyha Reinbold (SO, St. Michael, Minn./St. Michael-Albertville HS) for the first time in her career.

Annika Hegrenes (JR, Maplewood, Minn./Concordia Academy HS) scored two goals with three caused turnovers and two ground balls,
Mikayla Jones (JR, Oak Park Heights, Minn./B.E. Emerson Prep HS) scored two goals with a ground ball and
Mikayla Knudson (JR, Zimmerman, Minn./Elk River HS) scored two goals with a draw control.

Christina Nelson (SR, Bloomington, Minn./Jefferson HS), who set a single-season school record and led the MWLC with 111 draw controls last year, claimed double-digits in draw controls for the fifth game in her career, leading all players with 10. She also scored a goal and had a caused turnover and two ground balls.

McKenna Ellena (SO, Wales, Wis./Kettle Moraine HS) scored a goal with an assist, adding four caused turnovers, three ground balls and a draw control.
Demey Everett (JR, Brooklyn Center, Minn./Champlin Park HS) scored a goal with an assist and a ground ball, and
Hannah Mincy (FY, Des Moines, Iowa/Urbandale HS) scored her first collegiate goal.

Maddie Seykora (SO, Owatonna, Minn./Owatonna HS) recorded nine saves for the win for the Auggies, while also claiming four ground balls and two caused turnovers.
• For the game, Augsburg recorded 17 clears in 23 attempts, compared to Marian's 10-of-18. Augsburg had 17 ground balls to Marian's 11, and had 13 draw controls to Marian's 11.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE
• Monday's game marked the sixth time Augsburg has scored 20 or more goals in a game in its six-year history of women's lacrosse. Augsburg's single-game scoring record is 22 goals, set in a 22-9 win over Loras (Iowa) on Feb. 22, 2015.
FOR THE FOES
• Sally Moris scored both Marian goals, and now has four of the Sabres' six goals on the season. She also added seven draw controls, a ground ball and a caused turnover.
• Mary Clark had two ground balls and two caused turnovers, and Molly Gross had 10 saves in goal for Marian.
