Maddie Seykora (SO, Owatonna, Minn./Owatonna HS) collected a career-high 20 saves in goal for Augsburg University in the Auggies' 12-5 loss to crosstown rival Hamline University in a meeting of Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference squads on Thursday evening at Edor Nelson Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Seykora claimed 20 saves -- surpassing her previous career-high of 17, set twice earlier this season. She also had five ground balls and two caused turnovers for the Auggies.
• Hamline dominated play in the first half, scoring the game's first five goals before
Annika Hegrenes (JR, Maplewood, Minn./Concordia Academy HS) put Augsburg on the board with a goal with 11:39 left in the first half. The Pipers outshot Augsburg by a 26-8 margin in the first half and led 8-1 at the break.
• The game was played more evenly in the second half, as both teams scored four goals. Hamline outshot Augsburg by a 13-11 margin in the final 30 minutes, en route to a 39-19 advantage in the game.

Mikayla Knudson (JR, Zimmerman, Minn./Elk River HS) scored two second-half goals for the Auggies, with Hegrenes and
Megan Furlong (SO, Forest Lake, Minn./Forest Lake HS) adding the other Augsburg markers. Knudson had two draw controls and two caused turnovers, and Hegrenes had two ground balls.

Christina Nelson (SR, Bloomington, Minn./Kennedy HS) had three ground balls, three caused turnovers and two draw controls, and
Kassie Diaz (SR, Bloomington, Minn./Kennedy HS) had two caused turnovers and two ground balls.

McKenna Ellena (SO, Wales, Wis./Kettle Moraine HS) and Teyha Reinbold (SO, St. Michael, Minn./St. Michael-Albertville HS) contributed two caused turnovers and a ground ball each.
• Hamline converted 17-of-18 clearing attempts in the game, compared to 16-of-27 for Augsburg. The Pipers had 14 draw controls to Augsburg's five, and 17 ground balls to Augsburg's 15.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE
• Seykora's 20 saves are the fourth-most in a single game in Augsburg women's lacrosse history.
Marissa Guillou '18 has the top three single-game save totals -- 23 in a 2015 game against Dubuque (Iowa), 22 in a 2017 game at Concordia-Wisconsin, and 21 in a 2015 game against Augustana (Ill.).

• Radian Lenz scored four goals with an assist to lead the Pipers, while Alycia Monserrate Novotny scored two goals with an assist.
• Lexus Tatge scored two goals with three draw controls, two ground balls and two caused turnovers. Maddie Brown had six draw controls.
• Molly Dionne had nine saves and a ground ball for Hamline.
