ST. PAUL, Minn. -- Claiming a 17-2 halftime lead on a 27-6 shot advantage, the No. 21-ranked Colorado College women's lacrosse team pulled away for a 21-3 victory over Augsburg University in a nonconference women's lacrosse game on Saturday evening at Hamline University's Klas Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Colorado College scored the first five goals of the game before Augsburg got on the scoreboard with back-to-back goals byÂ
Annika Hegrenes (JR, Maplewood, Minn./Concordia Academy HS) and
Allie Tuccitto (SO, Rosemount, Minn./Eastview HS) in the opening 10 minutes of the game. But the Tigers then scored 14 unanswered goals to claim an insurmountable lead into the second half.
• Colorado College outshot Augsburg by a 33-11 margin in the game, had 17 ground balls to Augsburg's 11, and had 16 draw controls to Augsburg's nine. The Tigers also scored on all four of their free-position attempts, and converted 14-of-16 clearing opportunities, compared to 10-of 18 for the Auggies.
• Hegrenes scored a goal with an assist for the Auggies, adding five draw controls, a caused turnover and a ground ball.
• Tuccitto also scored in the first half, and
Mikayla Jones (JR, Oak Park Heights, Minn./B.E. Emerson Prep HS) scored in the second half.

Mikayla Knudson (JR, Zimmerman, Minn./Elk River HS) had three draw controls, two ground balls and two caused turnovers, and
Demey Everett (JR, Brooklyn Center, Minn./Champlin Park HS) had three ground balls and two caused turnovers.
Kassie Diaz (SR, Bloomington, Minn./Kennedy HS) had a ground ball and a caused turnover, as did
Hannah Mincy (FY, Des Moines, Iowa/Urbandale HS).

Maddie Seykora (SO, Owatonna, Minn./Owatonna HS) had seven saves, three ground balls and three caused turnovers in the game.
FOR THE FOES
• Eleven different players scored in the game for Colorado College, which won its school-record 13th straight game. Allie Thuet scored four goals with an assist, while Maggie O'Donnell scored four goals and Molly Dibble scored three goals with an assist.
• Lauren Pejza scored a goal and an assist, to go along with eight ground balls. Nikki Blair scored two goals with two assists, two ground balls and a caused turnover.
• Alena Stern had seven saves in goal for the Tigers.
