THE BASICS
SCORES: Macalester 13, Augsburg 3 (7 inn.)
LOCATION: Parade Stadium, Minneapolis
RECORD: Augsburg 7-19 overall, Macalester 12-13 overall

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Auggies had an unfortunate fifth inning, giving up 11 runs on seven hits, which would prove to be the deciding factor in the Scots' win.
• Pitcher Ayrton Aust (FY, Coon Rapids, Minn./Coon Rapids HS) got his first collegiate start, pitching 4.0 innings and giving up only one run on three hits, while striking out five batters.

Tomony crossed the plate on a wild pitch, with Rogers following on a sacrifice fly to deep center field by Daniel Phyle (SO, Lakeville, Minn./Rosemount HS).
Mike Brookshaw (SR, Prescott, Wis./Prescott HS) had a single for the Auggies in the third inning, while Josh Tyler (SO, Maple Grove, Minn./Maple Grove HS) was the third run to score on a throwing error.
• Each giving up one run on two hits, Jacob Kraft (SR, Hutchinson, Minn./Hutchinson HS) pitched 1.2 innings and Quentin Lake (SO, Portland, Ore./Lincoln HS) pitched 1.0 innings for Augsburg.
