Sam Anderson (SR, Coon Rapids, Minn./Coon Rapids HS) struck out 12 in the first game, and went 5-for-8 at the plate in the doubleheader, leading the Augsburg University softball team in a nonconference split at Crown College on Thursday.

GAME 1 HIGHLIGHTS
• Claiming her fifth double-digit strikeout effort of the season and 11th of her collegiate career, Anderson had 12 strikeouts against three walks and four hits in the game, ended after six innings via the NCAA eight-run rule. At the plate, she went 4-for-5 with a double and triple, driving in three runs while scoring a run.
• The Auggies jumped out to a 5-0 lead after two innings, then used a seven-run sixth inning to end the game early.
• After scoring a run without a hit in the first inning, the Auggies scored four runs in the second inning, with
Nell Gehrke (SR, Northfield, Minn./Northfield HS) and Anderson hitting RBI doubles,
Sarah Garcia (SO, St. Paul, Minn./Cretin-Derham Hall HS) hitting a run-scoring triple andÂ
Anesia King (JR, Isanti, Minn./Cambridge-Isanti HS) hitting an RBI single.
• Augsburg sent 12 batters to the plate and scored seven runs on seven hits in the sixth inning. Anderson tripled and scored on an RBI groundout byÂ

Shannon Dale (JR, Watertown, Minn./Watertown-Mayer HS) hit a double to drive in
Hollywood Hermanson (JR, Dover, Minn./Dover-Eyota HS), and Gehrke hit a two-run single to plate Dale andÂ
Mackenzie Evenson (JR, St. Louis Park, Minn./St. Louis Park HS).
Kate Stehr (JR, Goodhue, Minn./Goodhue HS) scored on a passed ball, and Anderson hit a two-run single to drive in King and Gehrke.
• King, Garcia, Dale and Gehrke had two hits each, with Gehrke driving in three runs and King scoring three runs. Gehrke and Dale scored twice each. Nichols drove in two runs.
GAME 2 HIGHLIGHTS
• With the game tied 3-3 in the eighth inning, Crown led off the bottom of the frame with a walk and sacrifice bunt, and a one-out single plated the game-winning run, as the Storm came from behind to claim the doubleheader split.
• Augsburg jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first inning, as King and Garcia walked to open the game, and both came around to score on a double by Nichols.
• The Auggies took a 3-2 lead in the top of the seventh, as Anderson hit a one-out triple down the right-field line, then scored on a single by Hermanson.
• Making just her second start and sixth pitching appearance of the season,
Bella Kallas () threw a complete game for the Auggies, striking out one against four walks and just five hits. Two of the four runs charged to Kallas were unearned, as the Storm took advantage of four Augsburg errors.
• Dale and Gehrke had two hits each for the Auggies.
FOR THE FOES
• Lottie Ellis had three hits, including a double and triple, with three RBI in the doubleheader, while Zoe Roberts had two hits and scored two runs.

• Augsburg closes its season with a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference doubleheader at Gustavus Adolphus College. The games were moved to Sunday (4/28) at 12 p.m., due to the forecast of wintry weather on Saturday (4/27).
