RIVER FALLS, Wis. -- Augsburg University outshot the University of Wisconsin-River Falls by a 31-30 margin, but was unable to put the puck in the net in a 3-0 loss to the No. 8-ranked Falcons in a nonconference women's hockey game on Friday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• UW-River Falls scored a goal 2:47 into the second period, another at the 10:48 mark of the third period, and an empty-net tally with 1:40 left to play.
• Goalie Annie Juergens (SR, Lino Lakes, Minn./Centennial HS) claimed 27 saves in goal for the Auggies.
• Mackenzie Molnar (SR, Inver Grove Heights, Minn./Cretin-Derham Hall HS) and Jenna Gerold (FY, Farmington, Minn./Farmington HS) had five shots on-goal apiece for the Auggies.

FOR THE FOES
• Kara Torkelson, Jessica Rubenalt and Callie Hoff scored goals for the Falcons, with Madi Nolan adding two assists.
• Sam Miller stopped all 31 shots she faced to pick up the shutout win in goal.
