ST. CLOUD, Minn. -- With five different players scoring goals and the visitors claiming a 45-16 shots-on-goal advantage, the Augsburg University women's hockey team claimed a 5-0 win over the College of Saint Benedict in a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference game on Friday evening.

Lanie Lobdell (JR, Aurora, Ill./Metea Valley HS) opened the scoring at the 10:21 mark of the first period, completing a 3-on-2 break with a blast from between the faceoff circles, assisted by
Jeanette Bealke (SR, White Bear Lake, Minn./White Bear Lake HS) and
Jenna Gerold (FY, Farmington, Minn./Farmington HS).

Emily Ach (SR, Brooklyn Park, Minn./Park Center HS) gave the Auggies a 2-0 lead with a power-play goal with eight seconds left in the opening frame, putting home a rebound off a shot by
Nikki Nightengale (SR, Bloomington, Minn./Jefferson HS).
Bridget Wagner (SR, Niles, Ill./Maine South HS) had the second assist.

Kalli Prekker (JR, Maple Grove, Minn./Maple Grove HS) scored at the 7:29 mark of the second period, firing a shot from the top of the left faceoff circle on a feed from
McKenna Ellena (JR, Wales, Wis./Kettle Moraine HS).
• Wagner scored for the Auggies at the 3:11 mark of the third period, putting home the rebound off a shot by
Katie Flynn (FY, Woodbury, Minn./East Ridge HS), with Ach getting a second assist.
• Bealke capped the scoring for the Auggies with 4:16 left in the game, blocking a Bennie shot at the point and sprinting the length of the ice for her first goal of the season.

Abby Bollig (SO, Farmington, Minn./Farmington HS) picked up her second career shutout with a 16-save effort, improving to 7-1-0 on the season.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE
• Augsburg's 45-16 shots-on-goal advantage marked the fourth time this season that the Auggies have had 40 or more shots in a game, with all four efforts resulting in victories.
• Augsburg has now outscored its opponents this season by a 50-27 margin. Friday's win marked the seventh time that Augsburg has scored four or more goals in a game this season, with all seven ending up as wins.
