NORTHFIELD, Minn. --
Camryn Speese (SR, Bloomington, Minn./DeLaSalle HS) scored a career-high 29 points to lead the Augsburg University women's basketball team to a 97-90 overtime victory over Carleton College in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action on Saturday afternoon at West Gym.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• In the fourth quarter, neither team led by more than five points.Â
Jazmyn Solseth (JR, Inver Grove Heights, Minn./St. Croix Lutheran HS) scored a layup with 45 seconds left to put the Auggies up 78-75. Carleton hit a layup on its next possession to pull within one.
Arianna Jones (SR, Brooklyn Park, Minn./Osseo HS) converted on 1-of-2 at the free-throw line to put Augsburg up 79-77. Carleton drew a foul from three-point range with three seconds left and converted on all three to go up 80-79 with 2.4 seconds to play. The Auggies called a timeout and advanced the ball to halfcourt. Speese caught the ball under the basket and was fouled with one-tenth of a second left. She made 1-of-2 to tie the game at 80-80 and force overtime. Augsburg scored the first seven points of overtime, which proved to be the difference as the Auggies were able to remain in second place in the MIAC standings with six games to play in the regular season.
• Speese scored her career-high 29 points on 10-of-18 shooting from the field and a 9-of-11 effort at the free-throw line. She also pulled down 12 rebounds for her second double-double of the season and seventh of her Auggie career.

Tamira McLemore (SR, Eagan, Minn./Eagan HS) put up a 20-point, five-rebound, five-steal effort, playing a team-high 40 minutes. It was her fourth time this season scoring 20 or more points.
• Solseth scored 13 points and grabbed six boards, marking her eighth double-digit scoring performance of the season. Jones added nine points, six boards and four assists, while
Nicole Zielsdorf (JR, Arden Hills, Minn./St. Anthony Village HS) chipped in nine points, shooting 3-of-6 from beyond the arc.
• For the game, Augsburg shot 40.5 percent (34-of-84) from the field, while the Knights connected on 38.9 percent (28-of-72) of their shot attempts.
• Carleton posted a 50-45 advantage on the boards, but the Auggies forced 17 turnovers, while only committing eight and claiming a 20-4 advantage in points off-turnovers.
• Augsburg posted a 46-28 advantage in points in the paint and a 19-9 advantage in fast-break points.
FOR THE FOES
• All five of Carleton's starters finished in double figures, led by 22 point effort from Katie Chavez.
• Jill Yanai pulled down a game-high 18 rebounds, to go along with 14 points for the Knights.
