MINNEAPOLIS -- Mikayla Jones (SR, Oak Park Heights, Minn./B.E. Emerson Prep HS) scored two goals with an assist to claim her second career multi-goal game, leading the the Augsburg University women's hockey team to a 5-1 win over Concordia College-Moorhead in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play on Friday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Augsburg dominated play throughout the game, outshooting the Cobbers by a 42-23 margin -- its seventh straight game (11th this season) where it has outshot its opponents by 15 shots or more.
• Kalli Prekker (JR, Maple Grove, Minn./Maple Grove HS) opened the scoring for the Auggies with a blast from the right point, a rising slap shot over the goalie's shoulder for her fourth goal of the season. Jeanette Bealke (SR, White Bear Lake, Minn./White Bear Lake HS) assisted on the goal.
• Augsburg took a 2-0 lead midway through the second period, as Lanie Lobdell (JR, Aurora, Ill./Metea Valley HS) completed an end-to-end rush by the Auggies. Jenna Gerold (FY, Farmington, Minn./Farmington HS) worked the puck up the ice, fed the puck to Bealke on the left wing, and Bealke passed the puck to Lobdell in the slot for a one-timer for her sixth goal of the year.
• Jones scored her first goal of the game at the 13:03 mark of the second period, scoring on a backhand shot in the slot off a pass from Nikki Nightengale (SR, Bloomington, Minn./Jefferson HS).
• Ellie Tabaka (SR, Maplewood, Minn./Tartan HS) gave the Auggies a 4-0 lead at the 5:16 mark of the third period, stuffing home a rebound from a Jones shot. McKenna Ellena (JR, Wales, Wis./Kettle Moraine HS) received the second assist on the goal.
• Jones capped the scoring with an empty-net goal with 1:16 left to play, assisted by Ellena. 
• Goalie Annie Juergens (SR, Lino Lakes, Minn./Centennial HS) improved to 7-4-0 on the season with a 22-save effort.

BEYOND THE BOXSCORE
• Augsburg has now won 11 straight games over MIAC opponents, outscoring its opponents by a 42-6 margin in the process. Augsburg has now won 14 of its last 16 overall contests and seven in a row.

FOR THE FOES
• Concordia scored at the 16:03 mark of the third period, as Maiah McCowan finished a break with a goal on a feed from Mackenzie Bergstrom.
• Kiana Flaig had 37 saves in goal for Concordia.
