ST. PAUL, Minn. -- The Augsburg University men's basketball team posted its fourth win in its last five games, scoring an 83-72 victory over Macalester College in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action on Saturday afternoon at the Leonard Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Augsburg used a 10-2 run to start the game and would never trail in the win. With two regular-season games to go, Augsburg will look to maintain its third-place position and lock up the No. 3 seed in the conference playoffs.

Booker Coplin (SR, Shakopee, Minn./Shakopee HS) led Augsburg with 19 points, eight assists and seven rebounds. He was 6-for-9 from the field and added a game-high five steals.
• Scoring an Auggie career-high,
Jack Sorenson (Lakeville, Minn./Lakeville South HS) put up 19 points. Sorenson finished 7-of-10 from the field and 4-of-6 from three-point range.

Joe Palmer (FY, Faribault, Minn/Faribault HS) added 14 points on a 6-of-11 shooting effort. Palmer is averaging 13.8 points per-game over the Auggies last five contests.
• Augsburg shot 49.2 percent (31-of-63) from the field, while Macalester connected on 45.0 percent (27-of-60) of its shot attempts.
• Augsburg posted a 39-30 advantage on the boards.
FOR THE FOES
• Macalester was led by a 23-point performance from Shane Anderson, who finished 10-of-14 from the field.
• Jackson Henningfield pulled down a team-best nine rebounds to go along with 17 points for the Scots.
