MINNEAPOLIS -- The Augsburg University volleyball team earned an impressive 3-0 victory over Macalester College in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action on Wednesday night at Si Melby Hall.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Augsburg used 18 players in the commanding sweep over Macalester. Augsburg out-hit Macalester .299 to .000 -- hitting at a .433 clip in the second set -- while earning a 7-3 advantage in team blocks and claiming five service aces.

Jade Fullerton (SR, Arden Hills, Minn./Mounds View HS) was dominant in the Augsburg victory, hitting at an impressive .615 percentage with nine kills and only one error on 13 attempts, while adding five blocks (one solo).
Kevin Boysen (SR, Rochester, Minn./Mayo HS) finished with a team-best 11 kills, chipping in three digs and two block assists. Finishing with eight kills and six digs was
Kayla Gjerde (SR, Afton, Minn./Stillwater HS).
• Defensive specialist
Torrie Rehder (FY, Goodhue, Minn./Goodhue HS) had a team-high 11 digs and added a service ace.
Angel Khang (SO, Maplewood, Minn./North St. Paul HS) chipped in seven digs and an assist.

Lexie Lang (SR, Rochester, Minn./Mayo HS) finished with 25 assists, 10 digs, three kills and an ace.
Izzy Barr (SR, River Falls, Wis./River Falls HS) had 12 assists and seven digs.

Maddie Nierengarten (SR, Foley, Minn./Princeton HS) collected five digs, four kills, two aces and a block assist.
• First-years
Emma Meythaler (FY, Golden Valley, Minn./Hopkins HS) and
Marie Venberg (FY, Minneapolis, Minn./South HS) earned their career-first kills, finishing with two and one respectively. Earning her first career service ace was
Makaila Winward (FY, St. Louis Park, Minn./St. Louis Park HS).
Zoie Johnson (FY, Carlton, Minn./Esko HS) made her collegiate debut in the third set.
FOR THE FOES
• Gwen Wooten and Adisa Preston finished with nine and eight kills, respectively for the Scots.
• Nicole Norton earned a assist-dig double-double with 21 assists and 12 digs.
