Seven Augsburg runners set personal-best times

MEN'S RESULTS | WOMEN'S RESULTS
 
WEST SALEM, Wis. -- The Augsburg University men's and women's cross country teams competed at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse Jim Drews/Tori Neubauer Invitational on Friday evening at Maple Grove Ventures, with six Auggie men and one woman setting personal-best times.

AUGSBURG MEN
• Leading the Augsburg men in the 8,000-meter distance was Getinat Asfaw (SO, Eagan, Minn./Rosemount HS), who finished 112th overall (85th team) in a personal-best 27:08.26 time. Sakariya Hussien (SO, Hopkins, Minn./Hopkins HS) crossed the finish line at 27:18.88, placing 128th overall (91st team). Cody Rieder (JR, Delano, Minn./Delano HS) earned a time of 27:48.90, placing 173rd overall (115 team). 
•  Max Jacobson (FY, Belle Plaine, Minn./Zurich International School), Bereket Wondimu (FY, Eagan, Minn./Burnsville HS) and Pollei Ali (FY, Burnsville, Minn./Burnsville HS) all set new personal-best times in the race. Jacobson finished 198th overall (120th team) in 28:07.61, Wondimu finished 276th overall (133rd team) in 29:05.01 and Ali finished 307th overall (143rd team) in 29:44.48. 
• Grayson Harris (FY, Littleton, Colo./Dakota Ridge HS) had a 30:27.79 time, placing 326th overall (145th team). Aaron Puent (JR, La Crosse, Wis./La Crosse Aquinas HS) also set his personal-best time with a 30:35.52 clocking, good for 331st place. Running in his first race as an Auggie, Sam Scheuneman (JR, Lakeville, Minn./Burnsville HS) finished 375th overall in 35:20.56.

AUGSBURG WOMEN
• Shaving off more than two minutes from her old personal-best time was Isabelle Daniels (JR, Sumner, Iowa/Sumner-Fredericksburg HS), who finished in 30:50.26, good for 279th place over the 6,000-meter distance.

• Augsburg returns to action on Saturday (10/30) for the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships, at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minn.
