COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. -- The Augsburg University football team was able to gain 264 yards of total offense against nationally-ranked Saint John's University, but fell short of reaching the end zone in a 50-0 Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference loss to the Johnnies on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Augsburg rushed for 136 yards and threw for 128 yards in the game, but fell victim to five turnovers (three interceptions and two fumbles) and four drives that ended on downs. Of its 12 offensive drives in the game, Augsburg ended in Saint John's territory six times -- including four drives inside the Johnnie 35-yard line.
• Linebacker
Leban Kahin (FY, Edina, Minn./Edina HS) led the Augsburg defense with nine tackles (eight solo), including a solo sack.
Robert Adams (SR, St. Paul, Minn./Como Park HS) had seven tackles (four solo), as did
Josiah Morrow (SO, Minneapolis, Minn./St. Louis Park HS).

Marcus Kimbrough (SO, Minneapolis, Minn./Southwest HS) collected his first career interception in the first quarter.

Dominic Smith (SO, White Bear Lake, Minn./White Bear Lake HS) caught five passes for 59 yards.

Cade Sheehan (SO, Rochester, Minn./Mayo HS) completed 13-of-28 passes for 128 yards, but was intercepted twice.

FOR THE FOES
• Henry Trost rushed 11 times for 107 yards, scoring the first four touchdowns of the game for Saint John's. Devin Vouk rushed eight times for 50 yards and a touchdown.
• Aaron Syverson completed 15-of-23 passes for 207 yards and two touchdowns, including one to Matt Mohr, who caught seven passes for 110 yards.
• Erik Bjork had nine tackles (four solo) for Saint John's, while Kyle Kornovich had seven tackles (four solo), two sacks and an interception.
