ST. PAUL, Minn. --Â A pair of goals in the opening three minutes of the third period snapped a scoreless draw, as Hamline University claimed a 3-1 Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference women's hockey victory over visiting Augsburg University on Friday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The teams played a scoreless first 40 minutes of action, with Hamline outshooting Augsburg 11-4 in the first period, and Augsburg outshooting Hamline 15-6 in the second. But the Pipers scored a pair of goals 50 seconds apart early in the third period, and a power-play goal midway through the frame gave the hosts a 3-0 advantage.
