MINNEAPOLIS -- Behind solid complete-game pitching performances by
Bella Kallas (SR, Big Lake, Minn./Big Lake HS) and
Sabriya Passmore (SO, Apple Valley, Minn./Apple Valley HS), the Augsburg University softball team scored a doubleheader sweep of the University of Minnesota-Morris on Tuesday at Edor Nelson Field, winning 5-4 and 7-2.

GAME 1 HIGHLIGHTS
• Kallas pitched one of the best games of her Auggie career in the first game, striking out four while not walking a batter and allowing eight hits. Only two of the four runs charged to her were earned.
• Augsburg jumped out to 4-0 lead in the first inning, as
Mackenzie Evenson (SR, St. Louis Park, Minn./St. Louis Park HS) drove in a run on a single,
Sara Deming (FY, Bloomington, Minn./Jefferson HS) drove in a run on a groundout, and
Olivia O'Connor (FY, White Bear Lake, Minn./White Bear Lake HS) hit a two-run double -- her first collegiate extra-base hit.
• The Cougars scored two runs in the third inning and tied the game with a pair of runs in the fifth. But Augsburg gained the walk-off win in the bottom of the seventh.
Kayla Hanson (JR, St. James, Minn./St. James HS) led off the inning with a single, moved to second on a wild pitch and to third on a single by
Katie Manecke (FY, Shoreview, Minn./Mounds View HS), and scored on a wild pitch.
• Passmore went 3-for-3 in the first game with a triple, while Manecke went 2-for-4.
GAME 2 HIGHLIGHTS
• Another big first inning helped the Auggies to the convincing win. Passmore hit a run-scoring triple,
Olivia Dynneson (FY, Minneapolis, Minn./South HS) hit an RBI single and Deming hit a two-run triple, her first collegiate extra-base hit. O'Connor finished the Auggie barrage with a run-scoring groundout.
• Passmore had another strong game in the pitching circle, striing out three while allowing two walks and four hits. Neither of the runs charged to her were earned in the game.
• The Auggies loaded the bases in the second inning and scored a run on a Deming RBI groundout.
• In the fourth inning, Evenson hit a solo home run to right field, the second home run of her collegiate career.
• Evenson and Deming had two runs each for the Auggies in the second game, with Deming driving in three runs.
FOR THE FOES
• Sarah Curtis had two hits and scored a run for UM-Morris in the first game, with Eleanore Steinhouse scoring two runs. Olivia Diver and Autumn Theis drove in two runs each.
• Grace Penke had a hit and scored a run for the Cougars in the second game.
