Auggies fall to Illinois Wesleyan

MINNEAPOLIS -- Allie Tuccitto (SR, Rosemount, Minn./Eastview HS) scored three goals for the Augsburg University women's lacrosse team, which dropped a 19-7 nonconference decision to Illinois Wesleyan University on Sunday morning at Edor Nelson Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Facing an Augsburg squad that was limited to just 12 players, Illinois Wesleyan scored the first five goals of the game and held an 11-4 lead at halftime. The Titans outshot the Auggies by a 24-7 margin in the first half, en route to a 40-14 advantage in the game. The Titans also had a 20-8 advantage in draw controls and a 23-13 advantage in ground balls. Illinois Wesleyan converted 21-of-25 clearing attempts, compared to 15-of-27 for the Auggies.
• Tuccitto added a ground ball to her three-goal effort for the Auggies.

• Bridget O'Malley scored four goals with six draw controls to lead Illinois Wesleyan. Cassandra Jones scored three goals with an assist, adding 10 draw controls, a caused turnover and a ground ball.
• Sarah Gleason scored three goals with three caused turnovers and four ground balls, and Riley Rooney scored two goals with two assists.
