McKenna Ellena (SR, Wales, Wis./Kettle Moraine HS) scored a power-play goal for Augsburg University to tie the game at 1-1, but Saint Mary's University scored the eventual game-winning goal early in the third period, as the Cardinals scored a 2-1 Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference women's hockey win on Thursday evening at Ed Saugestad Rink.

• Ellena scored her third goal of the season at the end of a power play at the 14:03 mark of the second period, assisted by
Payton Allen (SO, St. Michael, Minn./St. Michael-Albertville HS).
• Augsburg outshot Saint Mary's by a 35-16 margin, including a 13-3 advantage in the second period and a 14-7 advantage in the third period. But Saint Mary's goalie Ary Ziakas collected 34 saves to claim the victory.
