MINNEAPOLIS --
Olivia O'Connor (FY, White Bear Lake, Minn./White Bear Lake HS) pitched a complete-game victory in the first game and had two hits and two RBI in the doubleheader, leading the Augsburg University softball team in a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference split with Hamline University on Saturday afternoon.

RECORD: Augsburg 4-18 overall (1-9 MIAC), Hamline 4-10 overall (1-7 MIAC).
GAME 1 HIGHLIGHTS
• O'Connor pitched one of the best games of her young collegiate career, allowing just three walks while striking out one. Hamline had eight hits, but stranded eight runners on base on the game.
• The Auggies used a four-run first inning to take a lead that they would not relinquish.
Mackenzie Evenson (SR, St. Louis Park, Minn./St. Louis Park HS) drove in a run on an RBI single,
Olivia Dynneson (FY, Minneapolis, Minn./South HS) plated a run on a squeeze bunt,
Sara Deming (FY, Bloomington, Minn./Jefferson HS) drove in a run on a double, and O'Connor drove home a run on a groundout.
• Hamline cut the lead to 4-3 in the fifth inning, but Augsburg maintained the lead in the bottom of the frame, when O'Connor hit a single to right that skipped past the right fielder, enabling two runs to score.
• Evenson scored two runs for the Auggies in the opener.
GAME 2 HIGHLIGHTS
• All the runs in the game came in the final four innings. Trailing 9-4 into the bottom of the seventh, Augsburg scored twice, but a double play and strikeout ended the game.
• The Auggies scored four runs in the bottom of the fifth.
Malia Schubert (FY, Mantorville, Minn./Kasson-Mantorville HS) drove in O'Connor on an infield groundout,
Katie Manecke (FY, Shoreview, Minn./Mounds View HS) drove in
Bella Kallas (SR, Big Lake, Minn./Big Lake HS) and
Chloe Stockinger (FY, Sauk Rapids, Minn./Sauk Rapids-Rice HS) on a single, and
Sabriya Passmore (SO, Apple Valley, Minn./Apple Valley HS) hit an RBI single to plate Manecke. Passmore also hit an RBI single in the seventh.
• Three Auggie pitchers saw action in the second game, with Passmore striking out two against two walks in 4.0 innings of work.
• Manecke and Passmore had two hits and two RBI each in the second game..
FOR THE FOES
• Theresa Kinnert pitched a complete game in the first game, striking out three against three walks. Alex Molloy followed up with a complete-game effort in the second game, striking out four against a walk.
• Megan Rubbelke had three hits in the doubleheader, with a double in each game. Molloy hit two dobules in the second game.

• Augsburg travels to face St. Thomas on Sunday (4/18) at 1 p.m.
• Hamline hosts Saint Benedict on Sunday at 1 p.m.
