ST. PAUL, Minn.-- Limited to just four hits in the doubleheader, the Augsburg University softball team fell victim to a pair of Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference five-inning defeats at the hands of the University of St. Thomas on Sunday afternoon.

GAME 1 HIGHLIGHTS
• Augsburg was limited to just one hit in the first game, a double that led off the game by
Katie Manecke (FY, Shoreview, Minn./Mounds View HS). She was the only Auggie baserunner in the game, as the remaining 15 batters were retired in order in the five-inning game.
• St. Thomas scored four runs in the third inning, three in the fourth inning and a run in the fifth inning to end the game via the NCAA eight-run rule.

Olivia O'Connor (FY, White Bear Lake, Minn./White Bear Lake HS) took the pitching loss for the Auggies.
GAME 2 HIGHLIGHTS

Sara Deming (FY, Bloomington, Minn./Jefferson HS) had two of Augsburg's three hits in the second game -- a single in the second inning and another in the fourth inning.
Olivia Dynneson (FY, Minneapolis, Minn./South HS) had the other Auggie hit, a single in the fourth inning. Augsburg had just one other baserunner in the game, as Manecke was hit by a pitch to open the game.

Sabriya Passmore (SO, Apple Valley, Minn./Apple Valley HS) took the pitching loss for Augsburg.
• St. Thomas scored four runs in the first inning, another run in the third inning, and five runs in the fourth inning.
FOR THE FOES
• Sarah Hudson, Megan Baniecke, Stacy Smith and Mackenzie Rudy had two hits each for the Tommies in the first game.
• Abbie Witt had two hits and drove in three runs in the second game, while Baniecke had two hits and scored two runs.
