MINNEAPOLIS -- The Augsburg University softball team's bats were unable to connect against College of Saint Benedict pitching on Wednesday afternoon, getting just two hits in a pair of Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference losses at Edor Nelson Field.

GAME 1 HIGHLIGHTS
• The Auggies were no-hit in the first game, a five-inning loss, by Bennie pitcher Elly Novak, who struck out nine while allowing four walks.

Olivia O'Connor (FY, White Bear Lake, Minn./White Bear Lake HS) took the pitching loss for the Auggies, throwing three innings.
Bella Kallas (SR, Big Lake, Minn./Big Lake HS) struck out one in two innings of relief.
GAME 2 HIGHLIGHTS
• Augsburg was limited to two hits in the second game -- a leadoff single by
Katie Manecke (FY, Shoreview, Minn./Mounds View HS) in the first inning and a single by
Sara Deming (FY, Bloomington, Minn./Jefferson HS) in the sixth inning. Augsburg had just one other baserunner in the game, as Choe Stockinger (FY, Sauk Rapids, Minn./Sauk Rapids-Rice HS) reached base on a throwing error in the second inning.

Sabriya Passmore (SO, Apple Valley, Minn./Apple Valley HS) took the pitching loss for Augsburg, striking out two against three walks in a complete-game effort.
FOR THE FOES
• Bryn Carlstrom went 3-for-3 with two runs scored and two RBI in the first game, while Hannah Sundem went 2-for-3 with a double, two RBI and three runs scored.
• Lauren York struck out seven in a complete-game effort in the second game for Saint Benedict. Jordyn Swoboda and Megan Rasmussen hit home runs in the second game.
