• In the bottom of the sixth, Augsburg tied the game when Steven Salz (SO, Maple Grove, Minn./Maple Grove HS) hit a RBI groundout that scored Kaden Gage (SO, Eagan, Minn./Eagan HS). Gage was a pinch-runner for Carson Tomony (SO, Madison, Wis./Madison East HS), who singled to right field. Michael Weiss (SO, Marion, Iowa/Linn-Mar HS) also had a single to right field in the sixth. Weiss finished 2-for-4, adding a single in the first inning.

• The Pipers chipped their way to a 3-0 lead, scoring a single run in each of the first three innings. The Auggies got on the board in the bottom of the third inning, scoring a run of Clint Mattson (SO, North Branch, Minn./North Branch HS), when Salz hit a RBI sacrifice fly to left field.
• The score was 4-2 at end of four innings played, after each team added a run in the fourth. Stoik hit a lead-off triple to right field for the Auggies, and then crossed the plate on a Matt Krenz (JR, Becker, Minn./Becker HS) sacrifice fly to left field.
• In the fifth inning, Augsburg tied the game at four-a-piece. Mattson started the inning with an infield single, followed by a single through the left side off the bat of Tomony. Weiss loaded the bases with a walk. Salz hit a RBI single to center field, scoring Mattson. With the bases still loaded and two outs, pinch hitter, Austin Jerylo (JR, Stillwater, Minn./Mahtomedi HS) reached on a Piper error and Mattson scored an unearned run.
