MINNEAPOLIS -- With seven different players scoring goals and eight players figuring in the scoring, the Augsburg University women's lacrosse team closed its regular season with a 14-6 victory over visiting Cornell College (Iowa) in a Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference game on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Tied 3-3 halfway through the first half, Augsburg used a six-goal scoring run to take a commanding lead. Augsburg led 9-4 at halftime, and then used a four-goal run to pull away in the second half.

Tripp Ryan (SO, Minneapolis, Minn./Washburn HS) had a complete all-around game for the Auggies, setting a career-high with a six-point (two goals, four assists) performance, adding two ground balls and two draw controls. • Nina Deer scored two goals with an assist and two ground balls to lead Cornell. Anna Menthe had a goal with five draw controls and two caused turnovers.
• Maddie Althoff had six saves in goal in the first half for the Rams, while Sierra Harris had two saves in the second half.
