HOW IT HAPPENED
• On a deep run into the UW-Superior end early in the second overtime, a defensive clearing attempt off a cross by Maddie Speikers (SO, Cottage Grove, Minn./Park HS) from the left wing was intercepted by Bobaric, who put the loose ball into the right corner of the net for her team-leading fifth goal of season.
• Jaelyn Nedelcoff (FY, Oregon, Wis./Oregon HS) scored her first collegiate goal in the 56th minute, as she stole the ball from a UW-Superior defender at the top of the 18-yard box, then fired a rising shot over the goalkeeper to the top left corner of the net, tying the game at 1-1.

The Auggies outshot the Yellowjackets by an 18-3 margin in the first half, en route to a 31-7 shots margin in the game. Augsburg had eight corner kicks to none for UW-Superior, and the Auggies led the possession game by a 65-to-35-percent margin.
• Bobaric had eight shots, including three on-target, while Nedelcoff had seven shots, including five on-frame. Malia Neumann (FY, Mankato, Minn./Mankato West HS) had four shots in the game.
• Iz Shuster (SO, Waconia, Minn./Waconia HS) and Aspen Brockhouse (SR, Chaska, Minn./Des Moines (Iowa) Christian HS) each had one save in goal, splitting play. Shuster started and played in the first half, while Brockhouse played the second half and overtime.

QUOTES FROM AUGSBURG COACH MIKE NAVARRE
• "First off, credit to UW-Superior. Their program has improved significantly under Coach Allison DeGroot's leadership and they pushed us to the brink tonight. We started poorly and took a while to get the energy and commitment necessary to perform well."
• "We obviously have a lot to improve upon. That being said, I am proud of how we gained more resolve as the game progressed and ultimately found a way to overcome the adversity we faced. Now we start our conference season against Hamline, who is off to a great start. I'm sure they will be well coached and ready to compete."
