WAVERLY, Iowa -- Behind the first career kill-dig double-double for
Mikayla Coops (SO, Belle Plaine, Minn./Belle Plaine HS), the Augsburg University volleyball team closed its trip to the Wartburg College Invitational with a 3-1 victory over Augustana College (Ill.) on Saturday afternoon.
Lexie Lang (SR, Rochester, Minn./Mayo HS) was named to the All-Tournament Team for her performance over the weekend.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Augsburg rallied from a close first-set loss to diminate in the final three sets, hitting .452 in the second set and .444 in the fourth set. As a team, Augsburg hit .272, compared to .119 for Augustana.
• Coops had a team-high 13 kills, hitting .524, while adding 11 digs to record her first kill-dig double-double of her career.
• Also on the opposite side,
Kevin Boysen (SR, Rochester, Minn./Mayo HS) notched her third straight double-figure kill effort, connecting on 12 kills to go along with three solo blocks
• Lang had another solid all-around match, notching her ninth assist-dig double-double of the season, with 38 assists and a team-best 17 digs, to go along with six kills on six attack attempts.

Maddie Nierengarten (SR, Foley, Minn./Princeton HS) also had a strong all-around performance, contributing seven kills, seven digs and a career-high eight service aces.

Jade Fullerton (SR, Arden Hills, Minn./Mounds View HS) tied a season high with seven blocks (seven solo), to go along with three kills, and
Kayla Gjerde (SR, Afton, Minn./Stillwater HS) had eight kills, 14 digs and a solo block.

Angel Khang (SO, Maplewood, Minn./North St. Paul HS) recorded 13 digs.
FOR THE FOES
• Augustana was paced by Brook Feldman, who had 14 kills, and Emily Schipper, who had 11 kills, 18 digs and two blocks (one solo).
• Olivia Doak had 28 assists and 10 digs, and Grace Vranicar had 15 digs.
