BLAINE, Minn. -- With two individuals placing in the top 22 overall, the Augsburg University cross country teams opened its season at the Bethel University Twin Cities Twilight meet on Friday at the Victory Links Golf Course.

AUGSBURG MEN
• Augsburg had five finishers in the top 50 in the 82-runner men's meet, including two runners who finished with sub-22-minute times over the four-mile course. Sakariya Hussien (SO, Hopkins, Minn./Hopkins HS) finished 15th overall (14th team) in 21:12.1, and Getinat Asfaw (SO, Eagan, Minn./Rosemount HS) finished 22nd overall (20th team) with a 21.28.9 clocking.
• Max Jacobson (FY, Belle Plaine, Minn./Zurich International School) made his collegiate debut with a 23.05.3 time, finishing 41st overall (31st team). Bereket Wondimu (FY, Eagan, Minn./Burnsville HS) finished 49th overall (34th team) in 23:43.1, and Grayson Harris (FY, Littleton, Colo./Dakota Ridge HS) finished 50th overall (35th team) in 23:44.6.
• Kevin Sethre (SR, Berthoud, Colo./Berthoud HS) finished 54th in 24:27.1, Aaron Puent (JR, La Crosse, Wis./La Crosse Aquinas HS) finished 64th in 25:11.0, Pollei Ali (FY, Burnsville, Minn./Burnsville HS) finished 65th in 25:13.5, and Liam Burns (FY, Minneapolis, Minn./DeLaSalle HS) finished 82nd in 28:00.2.

AUGSBURG WOMEN
• Augsburg had just two women compete in Friday's three-mile meet. Annabel Lantz (FY, Afton, Minn./Stillwater HS) made her collegiate debut with a 21:44.2 clocking, finishing 82nd, while Isabelle Daniels (Jr, Sumner, Iowa/Sumner-Fredericksburg HS) finished 99th in 26:53.0.
