GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- The Augsburg University volleyball team split its two matches on Saturday at the Calvin University Labor Day Weekend Tournament, with both going to five sets -- a win over Grove City College (Pa.) and a loss to No. 22-ranked Otterbein College (Pa.).
Brianna Van Well (SO, Woodbury, Minn./Woodbury HS), who had 36 kills and hit .359 on the weekend, was named to the All-Tournament Team for the Auggies.
MATCH 3 - AUGSBURG VS. GROVE CITY (PA.)
FINAL SCORE: Augsburg def. Grove City (Pa.) 3-2 (25-20, 21-25, 18-25, 25-12, 15-9)

HOW IT HAPPENEDÂ
• Augsburg had to rally from a 2-1 deficit to claim the five-set victory. In the final two sets, Augsburg hit .295 (23 kills, five errors in 61 attempts), while claiming an 87-percent sideout percentage (20-of-23). Meanwhile, Grove City hit just .053 (12 kills, 9 errors in 56 attempts) in the final two sets. Augsburg also had nine team blocks to Grove City's eight.

Kayla Gjerde (SR, Afton, Minn./Stillwater HS) claimed her 21st career kill-dig double-double, with 17 kills, 14 digs and a block assist, hitting a team-best .448.

Mikayla Coops (SO, Belle Plaine, Minn./Belle Plaine HS) had eight kills, seven digs and three blocks (one solo).

Lexie Lang (SR, Rochester, Minn./Mayo HS) recorded 37 assists and 15 digs for her 12th career assist-dig double-double, to go along with four service aces, three kills and a block assist.Â

• Faith Keating had 12 kills and 17 assists to lead Grove City, while Aubrey Donnelly had 10 kills and four blocks (one solo).
• Katie Kenlein had 18 assists and seven digs for the Wolverines, while Kennedy Kerr had 14 assists and nine digs.

Otterbein, ranked No. 22 in the American Volleyball Coaches Association Division III preseason national poll. Augsburg rallied from a two-set deficit to force a deciding fifth set, which went to extra points in a 17-15 win for the Cardinals.
