ST. PAUL, Minn. – Trailing 2-0 early in the second period, the Augsburg University women's hockey team scored the last three goals of the game, including the game-winner by
Emily Cronkhite (FY, Eagan, Minn./Eagan HS) with 21 seconds left in overtime, as the Auggies claimed a 3-2 Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference victory over host St. Catherine University on Friday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• In the final minute of the 3-on-3 overtime session, Cronkhite gained the puck in the lower left corner of the attacking zone, cycled to the point, sprinted her way into the slot, made a move on a defender and put a backhand shot in the net for her eighth goal of the season, her third collegiate game-winning goal.
• Augsburg got on the scoreboard late in the second period, as
Payton Allen (JR, St. Michael, Minn./St. Michael-Albertville HS) scored on a rising shot from the point, assisted by Cronkhite.

Sydney Rydel (SO, Forest Lake, Minn./Forest Lake HS) tied the game for the Auggies at the 5:16 mark of the third period. She worked her way from the low left corner towards the net and put a backhand shot on-goal, then swatted the rebound out of the air and into the net for her second goal of the year.

Chloe Stockinger (SO, Sauk Rapids, Minn./Sauk Rapids-Rice HS) claimed her fourth straight victory in goal for the Auggies, stopping 16 of the 18 shots she faced.
• Augsburg outshot St. Catherine by a 32-18 margin in the game, including a 4-0 advantage in overtime.
FOR THE FOES
• Laura Denchfield scored a first-period goal for St. Catherine, with Marie Reimer scoring a power-play goal in the second period.
• Abby Severson had 29 saves in goal for the Wildcats.
