MINNEAPOLIS – With seven different players scoring goals and 13 players figuring in the scoring, the Augsburg University women's hockey team completed a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference series sweep of St. Catherine University with a convincing 7-2 victory on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Augsburg jumped on the board early, scoring three goals in a 3:32 span midway through the first period to take a lead it would not relinquish.
Claire Jenkins Coffman (SO, Mount Pleasant, Wis./The Prairie School) opened the scoring with her first collegiate goal, followed by goals from
Emily Cronkhite (FY, Eagan, Minn./Eagan HS), her second of the weekend, and
Brooke Leone (SR, Rochester, Minn./Mayo HS).
• The Auggies added two goals in a 3:34 span in the second period, with
Kensie Malone (SO, Minneapolis, Minn./Gentry Academy HS) scoring her ninth goal of the season on an unassisted blast, and
Dorothy Kearney (FY, Hibbing, Minn./Hibbing HS) scoring her first collegiate goal.

Sydney Rydel (SO, Forest Lake, Minn./Forest Lake HS) scored her second goal of the weekend on the power play in the third period, with
Lilia Scheid (SR, Stillwater, Minn./Middleton (Wis.) HS) capping the Auggie scoring with a power-play goal.
• Malone and Scheid added assists for two-point nights, and
Carleigh Drill (JR, Madison, Wis./Madison East HS),
Katie Flynn (JR, Woodbury, Minn./East Ridge HS),
Kiley Wahlin (FY, Blaine, Minn./Totino-Grace HS),
Payton Allen (JR, St. Michael, Minn./St. Michael-Albertville HS),
Elizabeth Fagerlind (FY, Kasson, Minn./Kasson-Mantorville HS) and
Hannah Gold (SR, Mequon, Wis./University School of Milwaukee) also contributing assists for the Auggies.

Mara McClain (JR, Bloomington, Minn./Jefferson HS) had 13 saves in goal in 47 minutes of action to pick up the win.
Abby Bollig (SR, Farmington, Minn./Farmington HS) returned to the lineup after missing 14 games due to injury, collecting seven saves in 13 minutes of relief.
• Augsburg outshot St. Catherine by a a 28-22 margin in the game.
FOR THE FOES
• Madison Flemming and Marie Reimer scored goals for St. Catherine.
• The Wildcats used three goalies in the game, with Abby Severson starting and making seven saves, Karly Schmidt making eight saves and Elizabeth Kubicek making 10 saves.
