HOW IT HAPPENED

• Augsburg was in control for most of the second set, holding a 21-13 lead late. The Wildcats won seven of the next eight to cut the deficit to just two at 22-20, but the Auggies finished strong again and won the last three points to take the set 25-20.
• Set three was tightly contested until the Wildcats opened up some breathing room with three consecutive points to take a 22-16 advantage. The Auggies fought their way to 20, but that was all they could do as St. Catherine took the set 25-20.

The Auggies mounted the beginnings of a rally, but it proved to be too little, too late once again as St. Catherine evened the match at 2-2 with another 25-20 set win.
• In the fifth set, the Auggies dug their way out of a 5-8 hole to even the set at eight. The teams went blow-for-blow with ties at 10, 11, 12, and 13 before the Wildcats finished the set with two straight kills to win the set 15-13 and complete the reverse sweep.
