2022 MIAC WOMEN'S SOCCER AWARDS
MINNEAPOLIS -- Four Augsburg University women's soccer players earned postseason honors from the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, it was announced on Thursday.
Forwards
Jennifer Bobaric (SR, Andover, Minn./Andover HS) and
Jayla Ponce (SO, Kuna, Idaho/Kuna HS) were named to the 22-member All-MIAC team, while midfielder
Sam Donahugh (SR, Mukwonago, Wis./Mukwonago HS) and
Jaelyn Nedelcoff (SO, Oregon, Wis./Oregon HS)Â were named to the 15-member All-MIAC Honorable Mention squad. Nedelcoff was named the MIAC Rookie of the Year in 2021, with Bobaric earning All-MIAC honors. It's the first conference postseason honors for Ponce and Donahugh.

Bobaric finished tied for second among Auggies in scoring, finishing with four goals for eight points, starting all 18 games and playing 1,378 minutes (76.6 minutes per-game), with five full 90-minute efforts. In her 51-game collegiate career (3,282 minutes, 64.4 minutes per-game), Bobaric scored 14 goals with four assists for 32 points, tied for 18th in school history in career goals.

A transfer from Division II Fort Lewis (Colo.), Ponce made an immediate impact in her first season as an Auggie, leading the team with six goals and eight assists for 20 points. Her six goals were tied for eighth-most
among MIAC players in overall statistics, while she led the MIAC in assists and ranked seventh in points. She claimed a two-goal, one-assist effort in Augsburg's 4-1 win at Macalester on Sept. 17. Ponce started all 18 games this season, playing 1,462 minutes (81.2 minutes per-game), with eight full 90-minute efforts.

Donahugh started all 18 games as a defensive midfielder, playing in a team-high 1,557 minutes (86.5 minutes per-game), with 12 full 90-minute games. She scored a goal in Augsburg's 3-1 loss to UW-Eau Claire on Oct. 5, while contributing an assist in Augsburg's 2-1 win at UW-Superior on Sept. 1. Donahugh played in 52 games (3,610 minutes, 69.4 minutes per-game) in her Auggie career, with a goal and three assists for five points.

Nedelcoff finished her second Auggie campaign with two goals -- both in an 8-0 win at Minnesota Morris on Sept. 4 -- and three assists for seven points, starting 16 games and playing 1,294 minutes (80.9 minutes per-game), with nine full 90-minute performances. In her 32-game Auggie career (2,678 minutes, 83.7 minutes per-game), Nedelcoff now has seven goals and five assists for 19 points.

Mike Navarre, Augsburg finished 6-10-2 overall, 3-6-2 in MIAC play in 2022.
