MINNEAPOLIS -- The No. 5-ranked Augsburg University scored two goals in a 57-second span midway through the second period, then added an insurance goal in the third period, claiming a 3-1 nonconference win over the No. 15-ranked University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire on Friday evening at Ed Saugestad Rink.

Jake Hale (FY, Minneapolis, Minn./Apex Virtual School) scored his first collegiate goal, an unassisted tally on an interception in the slot off a Blugold clearing attempt, to give the Auggies a 1-0 lead at the 7:32 mark of the second period.
• Fifty-seven seconds later, Augsburg put the puck in the net again, as
Nick Woodward's (SR, Dubuque, Iowa/Dubuque HS) shot from the left half-wall trickled through the goalie's pads for his first goal of the year.
Michael Ferrandino (SO, Lisle, Ill./Waterloo West (Iowa) HS) andÂ
