MINNEAPOLIS -- Outshooting the visitors by a 45-18 margin, the No. 5-ranked Augsburg University men's hockey team pulled away for a 5-1 nonconference victory over Northland College on Saturday evening at Ed Saugestad Rink.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Augsburg scored on its first and last shots of a first period in which it outshot the Lumberjacks by a 19-3 margin.
Dylan Schneider (SO, Rochester, Minn./Shattuck-St. Mary's HS) scored 19 seconds into the game, assisted by
Michael Redmon (SR, Brighton, Mich./Centennial (Tenn.) HS), and
Grant Reichenbacher (SR, Verona, Wis./Madison Edgewood HS) scored the first of four straight power-play goals for the Auggies with one second left in the period, assisted by
Daniel Chladek (JR, Anaheim, Calif./Canyon HS) andÂ
Mason Palmer (SR, Plymouth, Minn./Shattuck-St. Mary's HS). The assist was Chladek's first collegiate point.
• Chladek scored his first collegiate goal 1:20 into the second period, a power-play marker on a rebound off an
Erik Palmqvist (SR, Linkoping, Sweden/Anderstorpsgymnasiet) shot and a
Logan Kons (JR, Niles, Ill./Niles West HS) feed.

Kyler Yeo (JR, Woodbury, Minn./Hill-Murray HS) scored on the power play at the 4:18 mark, putting home a rebound off shots by Redmon and
Vincent Weis (JR, Madison, Wis./Madison Edgewood HS).
• The Auggies' fourth power-play goal came from
Nick Woodward (SR, Dubuque, Iowa/Dubuque HS), who scored from the slot on a rebound off a
Jarod Blackowiak (SR, Eden Prairie, Minn./Eden Prairie HS) shot, following a feed by
Austin Dollimer (SR, Rosemount, Minn./Rosemount HS).

Samuel Vyletelka (SO, Zilina, Slovakia/Grammar School of St. Francis of Assisi) had 17 saves in goal to pick up the win.
FOR THE FOES
• Ty Brown scored for Northland at the 3:58 mark of the first period, a power-play goal from Andrew Liwiski and Zach Ross.
• Lumberjack goalie Chriss Curr had 31 saves in two periods of work, with Kenny Vought recording nine saves in relief.
