ST. PAUL, Minn. – The 14th-ranked Augsburg University women's hockey team opened Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play with a 2-2, overtime draw at St. Catherine University, but the Wildcats claimed the third conference point with a 2-0 shootout win.

Kennedy Stein (JR, Lake Forest, Ill./Lake Forest HS) opened the scoring for Augsburg with a power-play goal 3:09 into the second period, assisted by
Katie Flynn (SR, Woodbury, Minn./East Ridge HS) and
Emily Cronkhite (SO, Eagan, Minn./Eagan HS).
• St. Catherine scored two goals in a 3:17 span late in the second period to take a 2-1 lead, but Augsburg tied the game and forced overtime midway through the third period, as
Claire Jenkins Coffman (JR, Mount Pleasant, Wis./The Prairie School) scored her first goal of the campaign, assisted by
Jenna Gerold (SR, Farmington, Minn./Farmington HS) and
Sydney Rydel (JR, Forest Lake, Minn./Forest Lake HS).
• Augsburg outshot St. Catherine by a 39-22 margin, including a 15-3 edge in the third period and a 6-3 advantage in overtime.Â
