MINNEAPOLIS --
Daniel Chladek (JR, Anaheim, Calif./Canyon HS) scored two goals with an assist, and
Erik Palmqvist (SR, Linkoping, Sweden/Anderstorpsgymnasiet) scored a goal with an assist, as the No. 5-ranked Augsburg University men's hockey team completed a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference series sweep of Saint Mary's University with a 5-2 win on Saturday evening at Ed Saugestad Rink.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Augsburg scored the first five goals of the game, outshooting Saint Mary's 28-10 in the first two periods. The Cardinals scored the final two goals of the game, and outshot Augsburg 14-4 in the third period.
• Palmqvist scored the first goal of the game, deflecting a
Mason Palmer (SR, Plymouth, Minn./Shattuck-St. Mary's) shot from the point for his second goal of the season. Chadlek received the second assist.
• Three minutes later,
Michael Redmon (SR, Brighton, Mich./Centennial (Tenn.) HS) scored his third goal of the season, snapping a wrist shot from the slot on a rebound of his initial shot. Palmer received an assist on the goal.
• Chladek scored his first goal at the 15:45 mark of the first period, redirecting a Palmqvist shot in front into the net.
Peyton Hanson (FY, Hudson, Wis./Hudson HS) also assisted on the goal.
• The Auggies scored twice in a five-minute span in the second period to take a 5-0 lead.
Gavin Holland (SR, Stillwater, Minn./Stillwater HS) slid from the left half-wall to the slot and scored on a rising shot, off an assist by
Austin Dollimer (SR, Rosemount, Minn./Rosemount HS) at the 6:16 mark, and Chladek scored his second goal of the game at the 11:18 mark, a power-play marker from
Logan Kons (JR, Niles, Ill./Niles West HS) and Palmer.
• Goalie
Samuel Vyletelka (SO, Zilina, Slovakia/Grammar School of St. Francis of Assisi) had 22 saves to earn the win.
FOR THE FOES
• Warner Young scored from Jack Campion in the second period, and Trevor Schroeder scored a power-play goal from Kellen Tharaldson in the third period for the Cardinals.
• Matt Sanker had 27 saves in goal for Saint Mary's.
