MINNEAPOLIS – The Augsburg University men's basketball team returned to Minnesota Intercollegiate Conference action on Wednesday evening, falling to undefeated Carleton College 84-67 at Si Melby Hall.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Tied 8-8 less than four minutes into the game, the Knights would control the pace of play for the remainder of the half as they outscored Augsburg 36-22 to take a 14-point advantage into halftime.
• The Knights' lead continued to grow throughout the second half, never dipping below 13 and peaking at a game-high 21 points on three occasions en route to the 17-point win.

Conner Knoepfle (SR, Andover, Minn./Andover HS) was an offensive bright spot for Augsburg, scoring a career-high 21 points on 9-14 shooting from the floor, including 3-4 from beyond the arc, and adding four rebounds, two assists, and three steals.
Isaac Rabaey (SO, Hastings, Minn./Hastings HS) came off the bench to score 11 points in his 20 minutes of playing time and also pulled down four rebounds.

Will Blascziek (So, Lakeville, Minn./Lakeville North HS) scored nine points on 3-9 shooting with all three makes coming from three-point range and grabbed a team-high four steals.
Kayser Hasaan (FY, Apple Valley, Minn./Eastview HS) and
Colin Meade (JR, Rochester, Minn./Lourdes HS) tallied seven points each.
• Despite posting a season high field-goal percentage with a 28-57 (49.1%) performance, the Auggies were still outshot as the Knights knocked down 31 of 59 (52.5%) from the floor.
FOR THE FOES
• Jeremy Beckler and Luke Harris led the Carleton scoring attack, posting 25 and 24 points with nine and five rebounds, respectively. Beck Page also finished in double figures with 10 points in 19 minutes off the bench.

• The Auggies will head to Collegeville, Minn. on Saturday (12/1) for a MIAC contest against Saint John's at 1 pm.
