SUPERIOR, Wis. -- The No. 5-ranked Augsburg University opened the game with a flash, scoring three goals in the opening 6:15 of play, and added two insurance goals in the third period for a 5-2 nonconference win at the University of Wisconsin-Superior on Tuesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Augsburg jumped in front quickly, scoring just 60 seconds into play and adding two more goals in the next 5:15, driving UW-Superior starting goalie Myles Hektor from the game. The Yellowjackets quickly cut the lead to 3-2 with two goals in a 3:13 span, leaving the game at 3-2 just 10:16 into the game. The contest stayed that way until midway through the third period, when the Auggies added two insurance goals 2:01 apart.

Michael Redmon (SR, Brighton, Mich./Centennial (Tenn.) HS) claimed the first multi-goal game of his collegiate career, scoring Augsburg's third goal of the game on ana ssist from
Mason Palmer (SR, Plymouth, Minn./Shattuck-St. Mary's HS), and scoring from
Kyler Yeo (JR, Woodbury, Minn./Hill-Murray HS) and
Dylan Schneider (SO, Rochester, Minn./Shattuck-St. Mary's HS) at the 12:20 mark of the third period.

Peyton Hanson (FY, Hudson, Wis./Hudson HS) scored his first collegiate goal to cap the Augsburg scoring at the 14:21 mark of the third period, assisted by
Vincent Weis (JR, Madison, Wis./Madison Edgewood HS) andÂ
Erik Palmqvist (SR, Linkoping, Sweden/Anderstorpsgymnasiet). The assist was the first in an Augsburg uniform for Weis, a transfer from Division I St. Thomas.

• Reed Stark scored from John Stampohar and Dusty Bergstrom at the 7:03 mark of the first period, with Chris Ishmael following with a goal from Charles Martin at the 10:16 mark.
