NORTHFIELD, Minn. – Behind the first career shutout from goaltender
Marissa Paaske (FY, Crystal Lake, Ill./Crystal Lake Central HS), the Augsburg University women's hockey team secured a 2-0 Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference win over St. Olaf College on Friday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• After a scoreless first period, the Auggies got on the board at the 11:14 mark in the second period in four-on-four play, when
Payton Allen (SR, St. Michael, Minn./St. Michael-Albertville HS) found the back of the net for the first time this season with a wrist shot directly off a rebound from Ole goaltender Hannah Fritz.
Nora Stepan (FY, Apple Valley, Eastview HS) and
Kennedy Stein (JR, Lake Forest, Ill./Lake Forest HS) each picked up assists on the play.

Emily Cronkhite (SO, Eagan, Minn./Eagan HS) would extend the Auggie lead with under 20 seconds remaining in the second period, as she lifted the puck over the blocker of Fritz on a breakaway for the unassisted goal, her fourth of the season.
• Paaske was perfect in goal for the Auggies, recording her first career shutout in just her second-ever start with a 23-save effort, including 15 saves in the third period.
• Cronkhite and Stepan tied for the team lead with six shots each, while five Augsburg players finished with two each. As a team, the Auggies outshout the Oles by a margin of 26-23 in the game.
FOR THE FOES
• Hannah Fritz made 24 saves in net for the Oles on 26 shots faced.
• Molly Terebayza recorded a team-high five shots for St. Olaf.
