HOW IT HAPPENED
• Dollimer claimed his third career multi-goal game, scoring an even-strength goal in the first period from Logan Kons (JR, Niles, Ill./Niles West HS) and Fritz Belisle (SR, Red Wing, Minn./Red Wing HS), and scoring the go-ahead goal on the power play at the 9:23 mark of the third period, assisted by Belisle and Michael Ferrandino (SO, Lisle, Ill./Waterloo West (Iowa) HS).
• But St. Olaf tied the game 15 seconds after Dollimer's goal and took the lead with 5:09 left in the game, with both goals coming from the Oles' Jonathan Young, as the Oles scored the split with Augsburg, the No. 2-ranked team in the latest USCHO.com Division III national poll. St. Olaf received votes in the national poll, released last Monday.
Grant Reichenbacher (SR, Verona, Wis./Madison Edgewood HS) gave the Auggies a 2-0 lead 47 seconds into the second period, scoring from Belisle and Mason Palmer (SR, Plymouth, Minn./Shattuck-St. Mary's). Belisle tied a career-best with his three-assist game.
• Augsburg outshot St. Olaf by a 35-27 margin in the game, including a 13-4 margin in the first period. Goalie Jack Robbel (SR, Bloomington, Minn./Shattuck-St. Mary's HS) returned to the lineup after suffering an injury during the season-opening contest on Nov. 3, and collected 23 saves in a losing effort.
