ASHWAUBENON, Wis. -- St. Norbert College scored a pair of goals in a four-minute span midway through the first period, building an advantage that visiting Augsburg University could not overcome in a 5-3 nonconference decision between a pair of top-five-ranked men's hockey teams on Friday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Augsburg cut into the 2-0 St. Norbert advantage 11 minutes into the second period, when
Mason Palmer (SR, Plymouth, Minn./Shattuck-St. Mary's) scored his first goal of the season, a power-play marker from
Daniel Chladek (JR, Anaheim, Calif./Canyon HS) and
Logan Kons (JR, Niles, Ill./Niles West HS). But the Green Knights scored 45 seconds later on the power play, and expanded the lead to 4-1 with a goal at the 16:53 mark of the second.
