Auggie win streak snapped at No. 4 UWRF

RIVER FALLS, Wis. – The Augsburg University women's hockey team's six-game winning streak came to an end on Tuesday, as the No. 4-ranked University of Wisconsin-River Falls claimed a 9-0 nonconference victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Augsburg was outshot by a 31-14 margin by the Falcons, who won their 11th straight game and fourth straight by eight goals or more.
• The Falcons scored twice in the first period, twice in the second and five times in a 6:16 span in the third period.
• Carleigh Drill (JR, Madison, Wis./Madison East HS) had three shots on-goal for the Auggies, while Katie Flynn (JR, Woodbury, Minn./East Ridge HS), Brooke Leone (SR, Rochester, Minn./Mayo HS) and Kennedy Stein (SO, Lake Forest, Ill./Lake Forest HS) had two shots each.
• Augsburg used three goalies in the game. Starter Chloe Stockinger (SO, Sauk Rapids, Minn./Sauk Rapids-Rice HS) had nine saves in 26 minutes, Abby Bollig (SR, Farmington, Minn./Farmington HS) had six saves in 21 minutes, and Mara McClain (JR, Bloomington, Minn./Jefferson HS) had seven saves in 13 minutes.

FOR THE FOES
• Callie Hoff and Maddie McCollins scored two goals each for UW-River Falls, with Hoff adding two assists and McCollins addin an assist. Abigail Stow had five assists for the Falcons.
• Sami Miller had 14 saves in goal for the shutout victory.
