LEESBURG, Fla. – Katie Manecke (SO, Shoreview, Minn./Mounds View HS) had four of Augsburg University's five hits on the day, as the Auggies dropped a pair of games to Loras College and Hood College at The Spring Games softball tournament on Monday at the Sleepy Hollow Sports Complex.

LORAS GAME HIGHLIGHTS
• Manecke had Augsburg's lone hit in the game, a single in the bottom of the seventh inning. Zoie Johnson (FY, Carlton, Minn./Esko HS) also reached base for the Auggies, on an error in the fifth inning.
• Loras scored a run in the first inning and two runs in the fourth inning against Augsburg pitcher Libby Moore (FY, Springville, Iowa/Springville HS), who struck out four against three walks and eight hits in a complete-game effort.
 
HOOD GAME HIGHLIGHTS
• The game was a scoreless affair until the second extra inning, when a one-out single plated the game-winning run.
• Manecke had three singles for the Auggies, adding two stolen bases.
• Meredith Taylor (FY, Randolph, Minn./Randolph HS) had a double in the fourth inning.
• Olivia O'Connor (SO, White Bear Lake, Minn./White Bear Lake HS) pitched a complete-game effort, sriking out three against one walk and seven hits. 

FOR THE FOES
• Loras pitcher Ashlyn Hemm struck out 20 of the 23 batters she faced, not allowing a walk in the win.
• Colleen Blasko drove home Alyssa Walters with the game-winning run for Hood on a single in the bottom of the ninth.
