MINNEAPOLIS -- Maylynn Prokopec (SO, Owatonna, Minn./Owatonna HS) scored four goals and Malia Neumann (FY, Mankato, Minn./Mankato West HS) scored three goals for Augsburg University in the Auggies' 18-10 nonconference women's lacrosse loss to Augustana College (Ill.) on Tuesday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Augustana scored the first four goals of the game and led 6-1 after one quarter, eventually taking a 10-goal lead in the second half. Augsburg scored five of the last nine goals of the game to cut the margin to eight goals.
• Prokopec, who leads the Auggies with 18 goals on the season, had three ground balls and two caused turnovers in addition to her four-goal effort.
• Neumann scored her first three collegiate goals in the game, along with four ground balls, three draw controls and three caused turnovers.
• Rylan Lee (FY, Parker, Colo./Ponderosa HS) scored her first collegiate goal, adding four ground balls and two draw controls.
• Shelby Ramirez (FY, Winthrop, Minn./Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop HS) scored a goal with four draw controls, three ground balls and two caused turnovers.
• Mackenzie Galazen (FY, Kimball, Minn./Rocori HS) scored a goal with three draw controls, two ground balls and a caused turnover.
• Beatriz Sandoval (FY, Shakopee, Minn./Shakopee HS) had two ground balls and two caused turnovers, and Alexa Martin (SO, Sauk Rapids, Minn./Sauk Rapids-Rice HS) had two ground balls and a caused turnover. Bailey Ayres (FY, Mound, Minn./Mound-Westonka HS) ahd three ground balls and one caused turnover.
• Emma Meythaler (FY, Golden Valley, Minn./Hopkins HS) had 10 saves in goal, adding three ground balls.
• Augustana outshot Augsburg by a 34-24 mark and had 18 draw controls to Augsburg's 14. Augsburg had 30 ground balls to Augustana's 28.

FOR THE FOES
• Cassidy Petrie scored five goals with an assist, adding two ground balls and two caused turnovers. Kyla Painter had three goals with an assist, two ground balls and three caused turnovers, and Margaret Cecilio had a goal, four assists, 13 draw controls, two ground balls and a caused turnover.
• Hannah Collins had five saves for the Vikings in the first half, while Rachel Forman had three saves in the second half.
