ST. PAUL, Minn. -- The Augsburg University women's lacrosse team dropped a 20-6 decision at Twin Cities rival Hamline University in a Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference game on Wednesday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Hamline jumped out to a 10-2 lead in the first quarter and didn't look back, outshooting Augsburg by a 30-13 margin in the game. The Pipers had 21 draw controls to the Auggies' seven.

Maylynn Prokopec (SO, Owatonna, Minn./Owatonna HS) led the way for the Auggies, scoring three goals.

Mackenzie Galazen (FY, Kimball, Minn./Rocori HS) scored two goals with a ground ball and a draw control.

Malia Neumann (FY, Mankato, Minn./Mankato West HS) scored a goal with two ground balls and a draw control.
•
Alexa Hoffman (SO, Rochester, Minn./Mayo HS) contribited two ground balls, a draw control and a caused turnover.

Rylan Lee (FY, Parker, Colo./Ponderosa HS) had three draw controls.
•
Emma Meythaler (FY, Golden Valley, Minn./Hopkins HS) had five saves in goal with a ground ball in the first half.
FOR THE FOES
• Taryn Leonard scored four goals with an assist and five draw controls, while Molly Garin scored four goals with eight draw controls, three caused turnovers and three ground balls.
• Hamline goalie Justine Case had five saves.
