GAME 1 HIGHLIGHTS

• The Auggies struck first in game one with Steven Salz (JR, Maple Grove, Minn./Maple Grove HS) plating Brandon Lockhart (FY, Oakdale, Minn./Tartan HS) on a sacrifice fly to right field in the bottom of the first.
• The Saints captured the momentum from that point on, scoring one in the third, three in the fourth, and one in the seventh to take a 5-1 lead.
Connor Stoik (JR, Eau Claire, Wis./Eau Claire Memorial HS) came around to score in the bottom of the seventh on a St. Scholastica throwing error, but that was all the offense could muster as the Saints hung on for the 5-2 win.
Jake Skogrand (FY, Shakopee, Minn./Shakopee HS) made the start and took the loss for Augsburg, striking out one while allowing four hits and four runs in 3.1 innings on the mound.
Matthew Rones (SR, Bethesda, Md./Walt Whitman HS) pitched an inning of relief, striking out one while giving up three hits. Dylan Irving (SR, New Brighton, Minn./Irondale HS) finished the game, recording one strikeout and giving up one hit and one run in 2.2 innings pitched.

GAME 2 HIGHLIGHTS
• The Auggie offense exploded early in game two with Weiss batting in Carson Tomony (JR, Madison, Wis./Madison East HS), Connor Stoik (JR, Eau Claire, Wis./Eau Claire Memorial HS) plating both Weiss and Lockhart, and Tim Lavin (SR, Maple Grove, Minn./Osseo HS) bringing Salz around to score to give Augsburg a 4-0 lead after one inning.
• The Saints scored two in the top of the second, but Augsburg responded with another four-run inning in the bottom of the third with Lavin, Ty Gage (SO, Eagan, Minn./Eagan HS), and Kaden Gage (SR, Eagan, Minn./Eagan HS) each recording RBIs to put the Auggies on top 8-2.
• Both Ty and Kaden Gage would go on to bat in one more runner each in the fifth before Kaden came around to score on a Saints throwing error, making it 11-2 in favor of Augsburg. Lavin put the final nail in the coffin in the bottom of the sixth when he plated Salz to put the Auggies up by double digits.
• Now 6-2 on the season, Austin Jerylo (SR, Stillwater, Minn./Mahtomedi HS) had a great outing for Augsburg, recording three strikeouts while giving up just five hits and two runs in 6.0 innings of work.
