QUOTES FROM AUGSBURG HEAD COACH GREG HOLKER
• "Nothing to hang our heads about, for sure. We are frustrated with the result, since we feel we were the better team, but we are not unhappy with our effort or our performance. We've been 5-for-5 from the PK spot this year and Z has been incredible on dead balls all season, so it is impossible to be upset if one doesn't go in. I am just happy we earned another penalty, because that means we are getting in the opposition box and creating dangerous moments."
• "We had another clean sheet, our third in a row, and the one chance we gave Macalester at the end was tackled away by Drew like he always does. We were steady and good in transition and defending set pieces so those were positives, no question."Â
• "I thought Jono was outstanding when he arrived just before halftime, and Giles was a genius in the center of midfield. Those two stood out for me. We missed Piza today, no doubt, but hope to have him back by next weekend."
• "We have a short turnaround, as we head south to face Martin Luther on Tuesday and then we get back to the MIAC next Saturday. It's good to get another game so quick after today."
UP NEXT
• Augsburg has a nonconference road game at Martin Luther on Tuesday (9/20) at 4 p.m. in New Ulm, Minn.
