QUOTES FROM AUGSBURG HEAD COACH GREG HOLKER
• "That didn't start the way we expected, for sure. We weren't up to our standard in our play or our mentality, and we got what we deserved, giving up that silly goal under a minute into the game. That being said, the group got it back on Menna's banger, and when the substitutes entered at the 16-minute mark, there was no looking back. How we played from then on was much improved -- our movement was better, our ball circulation was better, and we created many chances."
• "It is great to get Mizael off the board and scoring. He drew the penalty and then finished it off, so full credit to him. I thought
Kebba Janneh was really good tonight, linking us up in the final third and being involved in several scoring chances. Although he will think he should have scored more, he was a real threat all the time and made us better."
• "We played everyone we could, and they all looked like they belonged. It's a deep group, and if the guys keep pushing each other every day, they are going to make my decisions harder and harder -- and that's exactly what we want."
• "I know he may not feel like it because we put eight goals in, but their goalkeeper was outstanding tonight. He slammed the door on us just as many times -- he was really impressive.Â
• "One more test before MIAC play begins, and our first road game of the year on Wednesday at Northwestern. We need to be better and better every time we play, and Wednesday is another measuring stick for us."
