STEVENS POINT, Wis. -- Outshot by a 44-27 margin, the No. 4-ranked Augsburg University men's hockey team dropped a 4-0 nonconference decision at the No. 9-ranked University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point on Saturday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• UW-Stevens Point outshot Augsburg by a 22-6 margin in the first period, scoring goals 18 seconds apart midway through the frame. The Pointers added a goal at the 14:23 mark of the second period and an empty-net goal late in the contest.

Samuel Vyletelka (SO, Zilina, Slovakia/Grammar School of St. Francis of Assisi) had a career-high 40 saves in goal for Augsburg.

Gavin Holland (SR, Stillwater, Minn./Stillwater HS) had six shots on-goal for teh Auggies, while
Fritz Belisle (SR, Red Wing, Minn./Red Wing HS) had three shots.
Jarod Blackowiak (SR, Eden Prairie, Minn./Eden Prairie HS) had three blocked shots.

• Nick Gonrowski scored two goals for UW-Stevens Point, with Jake Theis and Andrew Poulias adding the other Pointer goals.
• Alex Proctor stopped all 27 shots he faced in goal for the Pointers.
